About this course

Applicants should normally have five passes at GCSE level (grade C or above) or equivalent. An approved foreign equivalent or comparable qualification will also be considered.

Experienced Students
Applicants with good work experience and/or other qualifications will be considered without these formal academic qualifications

English Language
All applicants must be competent in both written and spoken English.

This programme may be studied full-time for 8 months (2 semesters).There are six subjects to be studied. Successful completion of the course can lead to entrance to any of the BSc degree options offered at Greenwich School of Management.

There is hardly any operation unaffected by the use of computers. It is essential, therefore that managers are fully aware of the use of computers, their potential, and the equipment available.

» Fundamentals of Marketing

Module Description
As a pre-requisite to success all companies must take into account market requirements and ensure that these are effectively met. This entails a detailed study of the size and structure of the market, the customer behaviour and the ways in which products and services are supplied.These factors all impinge on other responsibilities of managers including finance and operations.Thus marketing orientation involves the whole company.

Module Description
Effective communication is an essential organisational feature for business success. The communication process is multidirectional: downwards from leadership and upwards to senior managers and lateral between groups with particular functions. Communication can achieve a number of objectives: imparting information, improving motivation and overcoming resistance to change.

Module Description
The Professional Development module aims to provide a platform for students undertaking the Access programmes. It is intended to facilitate their reflection on the outcomes of the programme and the individual subject areas which are included. Students are enabled to consolidate their learning and to understand linkages to the wider academic community with implications for more advanced studies.The content of the module is designed to develop skills necessary for preparation of studies at undergraduate level in the subject of business.

Progression
