This is a practical workshop for all levels from beginners to advanced students. Using flowers as the theme and inspiration for this course you will discover how to draw by observing shape, perspective, shadows, tone, pattern and depth.

Course programme

You will learn to dissect and identify the many layers within one single flower and draw that flower from several different angles.

Each stage of the course will contribute towards creating a series of strong images that can be used in textile design and developing these through to colour studies and abstract interpretations.

All work will be paper based, hand drawn and hand painted with a variety of medium including designers gouache, water colour paints and inks.
Please note that we will not be using computers on this course.
