Course programme

Spelling and basic grammar (Ref: SBG)

PACE 2½ hours a week over 6 weeks

Objectives:

These courses are aimed at students with an intermediary knowledge of French who wish to revisit elements of « elementary » grammar and improve their French spelling by taking an active part in (re)discovering rules governing the link between sounds and letters and various other conventions regarding written French. For instance, these courses will help you if you spell as you hear.

Through this class you will learn to ask yourself the right questions such as:

Did I spell properly or as I heard?

Did I use the right tense?

Did I think about the masculine, the feminine, the plural , etc?

After a while you even won’t have to worry too much about those questions, you will apply rules because you’ll have caught habits or a French way of thinking to avoid mistakes.

For students who have already studied the present, past, and future tenses.
