2. Course description The aim of the course is to introduce basic phrases for use on holiday. You will learn to greet people with confidence, order drinks and a snack and ask for tourist information, including basic directions. Sessions are lively and varied. The emphasis is on speaking and listening, with pair and group activities to maximise opportunities to speak in the language.

3. Entry requirements Stage 1 is for absolute beginners with no previous knowledge of the language. This course will enable you to 'get by' on holiday. The emphasis is on listening, speaking and understanding. If you have any questions, please ask the Customer Service Team for advice. We welcome learners with additional needs and disabilities. Please let staff know if you require any extra support when you enrol and they will arrange for a member of the Supported Learning Team to contact you to discuss your support needs.
