A/AS Level Media Studies

What will I be studying?
The syllabus takes as its object of study the products, practices, institutions and audiences of the media. This includes the television, film, radio, newspaper, magazine, advertising and popular music industries.

AS: Media Represenattions and Responses; Media Production Processes

A2: Media Investigation and Production; Media Text, Industry and Audience.

In addition to examinations, you are expected to produce two pieces of coursework, one of which must be centred around audiovisual media. This must be based upon student research into a chosen area.

What can I do when I have successfully completed the programme?
