Course description
This broad-based degree has been developed to give students who are interested in a rewarding career in a range of animal related industries the knowledge and skills they will need to be successful. It is designed for people who are wishing to enter the industry or who are currently working and wish to develop their career potential. It has been written in partnership with the School of Life Sciences at Oxford Brookes University and in consultationwith leading local animal industries. The course will develop themes in animal behaviour and welfare. Modules will include practical units, scientific knowledge and skills, grounding in business principles and will also focus on
the legal and ethical issues related to working with animals. Work placements are an essential part of the course where students will apply theoretical knowledge gained in the classroom to the practical care of animals.

Fees for 2009-2010 will be £1285. All tuition Fees are payable to Oxford Brookes Unviversity at enrolment. There is an additonal materials and enrichment fee payable to Abingdon and Witney college, this will be in the region of £150. Student support is available for this degree.
*Students aged 16-18 will not be required to pay the full course fee, in most cases your fee will not exceed £150.
