This course is designed to help you fund your direction in the field of Art and Design, with a view to continuing your studies at a higher level. It encourages personal development and the acquisition of practical, creative and analytical skills in handling a range of intellectual challenges. Students will find this course valuable for identifying appropriate courses at a higher level.

What will I study?
The course is structured sequentially allow student to develop a level of maturity in intellectual, critical and practical skills appropriate for higher level study. You will develop skills required for visual research and development of ideas.
Students will specialise in one or more of the following areas:
Fine Art
Graphic Design
Textiles/Fashion
Three-Dimensional Design
Photography
Critical and contextual studies are present at all stages of the course, and visits to galleries, museums and other locations of interest are regularly arranged.

Students who gain this qualification may apply for higher education. On completion of higher education students may become
