Beauty Therapy NVQ (Level 3)
Course Content
A one-year, full time course which provides a comprehensive study in advanced facial treatments and all body therapy treatments.
The units of study cover:
Body Massage;

• Mechanical and Electrical Treatments for the Body and Face;
• Electrical Epilation;
• Nail Art Techniques;
• Anatomy and Physiology;
• Ensuring your Own Actions Reduce Risks to Health and Safety;
• Promoting Additional Products or Services to Clients;
• Contributing to the Financial Effectiveness of the Business.

Students will also achieve NVQ Level 3 Customer Service and some Level 2 and Level 3 Key Skills units.
Teaching/Assessment
The course covers a range of units along with written assignments. A variety of practical assessments will be carried out. A portfolio of evidence will also be produced.
Progression
Upon successful completion you can apply to progress onto the Diploma in Holistic Therapies, HND in Complementary Therapy, Reflexology or Indian Head Massage.
Employment opportunities include health spas, beauty clinics, hotels, cruise liners.
Additional Information
Students will be required to purchase their own kit/equipment.
