What will I study?
Use of Salon IT, reception duties, retailing, facial care, make-up, eye treatments, nail treatments, waxing, body massage, electrical therapy,electrolysis and aromatherapy using blended oils.

Duration:
Two years full time

Do I need any additional qualifications/ skills?
Good attendance and punctuality is an industry requirement. you will need determination and dedication to succeed in the industry. Communications skills are very important to work well within a team and to discuss treatments with your clients. You will need to have excellent personal appearance to promote the industry and enthusiasm to cope when the going gets tough.

How will I be assessed?
In our modern training studios, the course is based on flexible continuous assessment of practical work, assignments, externally set tests and short written papers throughout the two years of the course. Work experience is included in the second year.

What can I do afterwards?
Successful completion of the course will open the door to many exciting careers, for instance in beauty salons, skin care clinics, hotels, health spas, cruise liners, photographic and TV work. Progression is available to the Foundation Degree in Complementary Healthcare.

Are there any additional costs involved?
All students purchase a kit and uniform through the College, costs discussed at interviews.
