Course description
Who can join?
If you hold two Standard Grades at level 3 or above, for SVQ Level 2. The course is also available to those in suitable employment.

Successful completion of Level 2 for Level 3, or considerable experience in Beauty Therapy.

How do I attend?
There are many different ways to attend College to help you gain this qualification. You may come on a full-time or part-time basis, but it is also possible to attend on a block release or day release basis, if you have already gained a work placement in a salon.

What will I study?
It is essential to first study the foundations of the skills before moving on to develop the practical skills required. Carrying out manicures and facials using various techniques are just a sample of the treatments to be learned.

Attendance at the Hair & Beauty Academy means you will also gain the practical knowledge required to develop & maintain positive working relationships with customers and members of your work-team.

What could I do next?
On completion of the SVQ Level 2, you may wish to enter employment, or gain a higher qualification, such as the SVQ Level 3, at The NHC.
