This course will develop your beauty therapy skills and knowledge to the level of highly qualified and competent therapist. You will be required to undertake independent research and evaluation using practical and diagnostic skills and to produce comprehensive case study material for assessment purposes. You will also cover financial and resource management and marketing

During the course you will have the opportunity to take part in a variety of linked activities including visits to trade fairs and exhibitions and the chance to participate in beauty competitions, presentations and demonstrations.

You will be assessed during the course by carrying out practical treatments in the commercial salons and by completing written assessments, projects and assignments.

You are required to purchase a beauty therapy kit, appropriate protective clothing and textbooks.

Further Study/Employment
You can progress to degree level study in an associated subject area. This course is good preparation for those considering self-employment or a career in teaching. you for employment within a salon, therapy clinic or health spa or for self-employment.
