Course Description: This programme has been developed to meet the needs of students interested in a career within the hospitality, travel and tourism industry. It will allow them to develop the skills and knowledge required to progress into or within employment and/or continue their study in the vocational area.

• Social Responsibility at work
• Financial Management
• Aspiring Chef
• Food service with a smile
• Work Experience
• Using displays in travel and tourism

Additional Programmes:

• Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering
• BTEC Level 1 award in customer service
• A selection of Key Skills qualifications at Level 1
• Learn Direct IT1
• NVQ 1 Multi skilled

Entry requirements: 2 GCSE passes grades D or above or a recognised equivalent qualification. Mature students who do not have these formal academic qualifications but have a keen interest in Hospitality, Travel and Tourism are welcome to apply. ALL applicants will need to attend a formal interview at the college.

Progression/Career Opportunities: On completion of this qualification students may consider progressing onto other Further Education programmes at First Diploma or NVQ level in related vocational subjects. Alternatively, successful students may seek employment in a variety of sectors related to Hospitality, Travel & Tourism.
