This style of assessment is a real strength of the course as it allows students the opportunity to use the specialist library and IT resources alongside tutor support, in order to ensure that the work they submit is reflective of their knowledge and understanding without the time pressure of exams.
Grades are awarded as Pass, Merit or Distinction.
As well as written assignments, students can be assessed through group work, presentations and practical tests/observation.
Personal Tutor Support
All students are designated a Personal Tutor who has the responsibility of supporting learning and working monitoring progress through weekly group or individual tutorials.
