Content This two-year course is designed to prepare young men and women for potential employment in one of the public uniformed services. The daily routine includes drill and physical training followed by a mixture of theory and practical sessions. Visiting speakers from a range of public services will provide up to date information about careers and the application and selection process for their service. Attendance on a residential course with one of the uniformed services is encouraged.

Assessment Units are assessed throughout the year through assignments, coursework and observation of practical activity.

Other Information Attendance on a voluntary residential visit to an outdoor centre is available in May/June. Additional trips will be available throughout the year to various public services establishments and adventurous activity venues. Students will be encouraged to follow additional units to enable them to upgrade to the National Diploma qualification equivalent to 3 'A' levels.
