This is a general course that explores a huge range of art and design experiences relevant to careers in graphic design, illustration, print-making, fine art, web graphics, teaching, photography, animation, advertising, film-making and digital imaging.

What will I study?
The course looks at many skills including:
· Drawing
· Painting
· Printmaking
· Photography
· Computer-Generated Imaging
· Typography
· Mixed-Media
· Animation
· Film-Making
· Illustration
· 3D Work
Students will look at the work of other artists, designers, craft workers, photographers and architects and will be asked to respond to these influences in a new and highly personal way.
In the second year there is a high degree of one-to-one teaching with each student being treated as an individual artist.

What next?
The vast majority of students move on to higher education degree courses, as this is the best preparation for those seeking rewarding jobs and we have an excellent record of placing students with prestigious universities.
Many students who study the Graphic Art pathway make a success of selling their work or go on to eventually work in areas such as graphic design, illustration, print-making, fine art, web graphics, teaching, photography, animation, advertising, film-making and digital imaging.
