Course Description: This course introduces students to a wide range of construction and civil engineering related knowledge. The course is recognised nationally and internationally as a progression towards Higher Education and professional opportunities within the Construction and Civil Engineering Industry. Activities include classroom-based learning, building and land surveying. Work is assessed via written assignments and participation in practical activities including material testing, surveying and setting out processes.

Entry requirements:
- 4 GCSEs a grade C or above (one being mathematics) or
- BTEC First Diploma in Construction (or a related area) or
- An Intermediate GNVQ in an appropriate related area
Progression/Career Opportunities: Many students use this qualification as an entry requirement for Higher Education. Successful completion of the course can enable students to develop a career in their chosen area of engineering.
