Course description
The course offers a wide range of learning experiences in the form of practical and theoretical assignments, lectures, skills development, discussions and tutorials.
You will study mechanical and electrical engineering processes and systems, materials, engineering design, science and mathematics. Consideration is also given to the business and commercial aspects of engineering and its influence on society and the environment. The course is multi-disciplinary in its approach, covering both mechanical and electronic areas of engineering.
All BTEC National Diploma qualifications include Key Skills and you will undertake the Communication, Application of Number or Information Technology Key Skills. These are transferable skills, which play an essential role in developing personal effectiveness for adult and working life and in the application of specific vocational skills.
