Course description
The BTEC National Diploma in Media is a practical hands-on course that qualifies you for entry directly to University or employment in the media industries.
You will be able to choose from either a Media Production pathway or an Interactive Multimedia pathway depending on your interests, skills and career aspirations. Depending on your options your studies will include subjects such as :
• Video Production
• Digital Photography
• Radio Production
• Web Design
• Film Studies
• Digital Graphics
• Scriptwriting
• Music Video
The course is well resourced with a fully equipped media centre containing digital video and audio editing suites, digital video and still cameras, radio studio and IT facilities. Taught by fully qualified staff with recent and relevant industry experience the course offers professional up to date training in this dynamic industry.
Media students run a college radio station and contribute to the student magazine INK. There is an extensive enrichment programme that includes residentials abroad, trips to London studios and museums, alongside visits to local media industries.
All media students have the opportunity to gain an additional qualification in iMedia.
