Applicants should have completed: BTEC National Certificate, National Diploma, AVCE, or Advanced GNVQ in a related subject (ideally at merit or distinction profile Mature applicants (those over 21 years of age at the start of the course) wioth other level 3 qualifications such as an Access to HE programme or one A Level pass (or two AS Level passess) in relevant subjects will also be considered . Those without the formal requirements but with relevant industrial experience and /or qualifications are welcomed and will be considered individually

Course Content:
The course has been designed to include a significant practical element, which will include:

Entry Process:
All applicants will be invited to an interview with the tutor, allowing you to find out more and check that the course is the best option for you. Interviews normally take place between January and September of the year in which the course starts.
Assessment:
Assessment is continuous throughout the course.
Progression Routes:
The HND provides direct entry to the second year of a number of related degree courses and, exceptionally, the third year of some degree courses.
Career Options:
Recognised nationally and internationally by employers within the construction industry, the HND may give direct access to a wide range of employment options within such fields as architecture, construction, surveying and estate management.
