Course Content
On the course you will study a mandatory unit in Health and Safety.

Progression/Career Path
The course is designed to enable you to further explore your personal strengths, research vocational areas and identify a career route.
The course offers the opportunity to gain a foundation qualification and also to prepare for further training at NVQ Level 1 or entry into employment. If you have been unemployed for some time and would like to make a fresh start, if you missed out at school and need to develop your skills and confidence or are looking to return to work after a break, then this course will be suitable for you.
During the course you will have the opportunity to take part in work experience on one day each week. There will also be opportunities to take part in voluntary work for local charities.
Assessment/Exams
The course is modular and unit assessment is on an ongoing basis. You will compile a portfolio during the year which will contain assessed work marked by your tutors and giving you feedback on your progress.
