Course Details
The National Diploma in Fashion and Clothing is a well established and popular programme that develops the skills and awareness for a career in this exciting and challenging industry. Assignments reflect the fast moving fashion world and place an emphasis on design and construction. Students will study 18 units which include drawing development and computers in art and design in addition to more specialist fashion units. The production of a portfolio to a presentation standard is an important aid to progression. Design tasks aim to keep up with contemporary trends and students have been sucessful in reaching the finals of national competitions. Students benefit from well planned educational visits and trips. Key skills are well developed throughout the programme.

The course is designed to provide the learner with the understanding and skills necessary to make an informed and confident application to a specialist degree level programme.
On sucessful completion of this programme students are guaranteed progression onto the Foundation
Degree in Fashion or Theatre Costume Interpretation at Hull School of Art and Design.
