ESOL Skills for Life Entry 2 (Entry Level)
Course Content
This one year course offers students the opportunity to expand their speaking, listening, reading and writing skills.
Useful English is taught in realistic situations giving the student opportunity to learn and practice language in everyday life.
Teaching/Assessment
The course is taught Monday - Friday for 16 hours a week. Modules on English through IT and Citizenship will run along side the Skills for Life Syllabus.
Assessments will be carried out when students have reached the required standards to achieve the City and Guilds Modules. These assessments take the form of speaking and listening exams and reading and writing modules. The speaking and listening exams is a qualification on its own.
For students to achieve the whole qualification it is necessary for all elements to be taken.
Progression
This qualification can lead on to Entry 3 Skills for Life.

Students will need to be able to purchase a textbook and materials e.g. file/paper etc
