Aim of course
This one-year course is aimed at school leavers or other new entrants into the Fish Husbandry industry. The course is designed to produce students who have a good knowledge of the fish industry and fish husbandry techniques.
What will the course involve?
Modules of study include introductions into angling, fish farming, sport fishery management, fish health and biology and fish industry. There will also be a secondary level 1 qualification in land based studies.Aged 19+ - two days per weekAged 16-18 - four days per week
What can I do afterwards?
You could gain employment with a range of jobs in the fish farming and aquatics industries, as well as commercial sport fisheries.There is also potential to progress onto the National Diploma
