What qualifications will I need?
One 12'unit qualification, equivalent to two A Levels grade E, normally Outdoor Education or Leisure & Recreation based, or 80 UCAS tariff points. Minimum grade C at GCSE level or equivalent in English. Mature entry is actively encouraged and relevant work experience will be considered in place of formal qualifications. Application through UCAS.

What is involved?
This 2 year full time course requires 3 days per week attendance at Kingston Maurward College and includes blocks of work placement between Year 1 and Year 2. The course is presented through a combination of lectures, discussions, assignments, practical activities, visiting guest speakers, specialist visits and work placement.

- Management positions within the specialist outdoor adventure or retail sectors.

What materials are required?
Warm outdoor clothing, wetsuit, waterproofs, safety footwear (including wetsuit boots, approach shoes, hiking boots, wellington boots), basic stationery, recommended text books, Kingston Maurward College Outdoor Adventure & Sports Coaching polo shirt. A specific kit list will be issued on admission to the course.
What is next?
Successful completion of the Foundation Degree allows progression to a full BSc or BA Honours Degree via a top'up year at another HE institution.
How will I be assessed?
A combination of assignments, presentations, course work, vocational practicals, case studies, diaries and written examinations.
