TOTAL FEE The 2008/09 full-time further education fees for UK and EU residents were and have been included for guidance only: Free to those aged 16 - 18 on 31 August 2007, who are starting a new course in September 2007. 230 to those aged 19 or over on 31 August 2007, who are current students and continuing onto the second year of their course, which they started in September 2006. 380 for those aged 19 or over on 31 August 2007 and who are starting a new course in September 2007.
ADDITIONAL COSTS There will be some additional expenses for materials.
AWARDING/VALIDATION BODY Cambridge ESOL Skills for Life qualification at appropriate level and an internal award for achievement against the national standards

PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This range of programmes is for those students who are 19 and over and want to study ESOL, IT and Citizenship. The programme will lead to an assessment of English, which is nationally recognised. The qualification currently taken is the Cambrige ESOL Skills for Life in reading, writing, speaking and listening. Learners will also gain an IT qualification. The programme consists of 11 hours of ESOL, 2 hours tutorial time and 2 hours IT.
PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES
On successful completion of this programme, students will be able to move onto a higher level ESOL programme at Croydon College or onto some academic or vocational qualification at Entry 2 or above.


EXCURSIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE All students will participate in educational trips.
