Course Content
This course teaches hairdressing skills including:

• Client Care;
• Shampoo and Conditioning;
• Styling Hair;
• Cutting Hair;
• Perming Hair;
• Colouring Hair;
• Reception;
• Health and Safety.
• Key Skills NVQ Level 1: Communication and numeracy

Teaching/Assessment
This is a work based course with attendance at College one day per week.
The course covers a range of units along with written assignments. A variety of practical assessments will be carried out. A portfolio of evidence will be produced.
Progression
Further Education: NVQ Level 3 Hairdressing (Advanced Modern Apprenticeship).
Additional Information
Students will be required to purchase their own kit/equipment.
