Course Content:
Core: Relationship-Centred Counselling Skills-Stages 1, 2 and 3 of the Three Stage Integrative Model, Counselling Theory: (The Humanistic, Psychodynamic Behavioural and Cognitive approaches.)

Options: Interpersonal and Group Skills, Understanding Human Behaviour, Developing Personal Effectiveness, Working with People and Teams, Group Counselling Skills, Developing the Individual within a Team.

SCQF Level: 7

Entry Requirements:
No formal entry requirements, however a keen interest in counselling is required.

Study Mode:
Full-Time

Progression To:
Appropriate Degree courses.

Career Paths:
Students who achieve relevant degree and postgraduate qualifications following on from the HNC will be able to practise as qualified counsellors in a variety of settings.
