  • Key Skills:
    As part of Intermediate beauty therapy you will be required to study Literacy and Numeracy and attend both academic and pastoral tutorials.

    Attendance Requirements:
    A good level of attendance is expected (85% or above) to enable all aspects of the course to be fulfilled. A high attendance percentage is also considered when progressing on to Level 2.

    Kit/Uniform:
    A uniform is compulsory for this course in accordance with Industry Codes of Practice. The college dress code for this course is very specific and details will be given out at enrolment. The uniform consists of a white dress and tights with flat, enclosed white shoes with a non-slip sole. Kit fees: 250 (approx) Uniform Fees: 75 (approx)

    Entry Process:
    All applicants will be invited to an interview with the tutor, allowing you to find out more and check that the course is the best option for you. Interviews normally take place between January and September of the year in which the course starts.

    Assessment:
    Students will be assessed by a combination of the following methods:

    • Practical observations
    • Written tests
    • Course work


    • Progression Routes:
      Students that successfully complete the NVQ in Intermediate Beauty & Customer Service will be considered for progression on to Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or may wish to pursue further specialist training in their chosen field.
