The BTEC Introductory Diploma in Public Services is designed to prepare students for progression to the BTEC First Diploma/National Diploma. Edexcel.
Attendance Requirements:
Full-time. Details regarding expected course timetable and attendance will be given at interview, if available.

Entry Requirements:
Applicants should have:

  • GCSEs at level E and F, or
  • An Entry Certificate in Skills for Working Life or an equivalent qualification
  • Applicants should have an appropriate standard of literacy and numeracy and related interests



Entry Process:
All applicants will be invited to an interview with the tutor, allowing you to find out more and check that the course is the best option for you. Interviews normally take place between January and September of the year in which the course starts.

Progression Routes:
Upon successful completion of the BTEC Introductory Diploma students may progress onto the BTEC First Diploma and BTEC National Diploma

Career Options:
Employment in the Armed Forces, private security services and emergency and community service organisations as well as the Police, Fire, Ambulance and Prison services and HM Customs & Excise.
