Course programme

All on-campus teaching in Edinburgh is delivered in the English language.
With ready access to the full faculty teaching and social facilities, this full-time UK MBA will be a real challenge. But we're sure it will be an exciting one.
The programme structure is based around seven compulsory core courses. Students can then choose two electives, from a long list of possible subject matters. The teaching session for each course typically consists of a four-day intensive seminar and a two-day revision session, spread over the 12 month period of study. There are seven core courses in the MBA programme. You then take two elective courses, chosen from a list of more than 30. Some electives are available as taught courses; others can be taken through distance learning. Each course requires approximately 200 hours of study.
The full-time programme commences in October or January each year. All students receive comprehensive learning materials, access to online course websites and faculty boards. For each subject course, there is an intensive 4 day teaching block and a 2 day revision seminar. All on-campus teaching in Edinburgh is delivered in the English language. After completing three courses, you are eligible for a Postgraduate Certificate in Business Administration, and after six courses for a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Administration. The certificate and diploma awards are formal recognition of your progress; they can also be used as exit awards. Specialist awards are available at MBA level depending on your choice of courses.
