Students are required to submit a 15-20,000 word dissertation on a topic related to the programme (full-time students by mid-September 2009; part-time students by mid-September 2010). Preparation for this piece of work goes on for the duration of the MBA programme and students are closely supervised throughout. A number of intermediate "deadlines" are set to ensure students are progressing satisfactorily with their research and written work. Additional features of the Liverpool MBA programmee include:
Liverpool MBA guest speaker series: Throughout the academic year we invite guest speakers with considerable experience of management issues to talk to students on the Liverpool MBA (General Management) programme.
Evening Networking Events: The Management School also organises a range of evening events, where students get the opportunity to network with local, national and global business people and listen to presentations on topical themes.
Social Events: Outside of their studies, our students experience a busy and enjoyable social scene. This is partly generated by social secretaries (elected by fellow students in the first few weeks after arrival) that organise social events in Liverpool as well as various other destinations.
Career prospects
Programme graduates should have enhanced access to general management positions in a wide range of graduate recruiter organisations including the major accountancy, financial and management consultancy services companies, 'blue-chip' manufacturing and service companies, major retailers, construction, engineering and information technologies sectors.

Support: The University also offers a range of scholarships and financial support schemes for UK, EU and International postgraduate students.
