NPA in Construction (Step into Construction) (Full time)

Aims:
This course is designed to prepare young school leavers for future
employment in the construction industry, to develop a basic understanding of the skills and requirements for vocational qualifications in construction.
The course will run in two phases over the year with progression to the second phase dependent on satisfactory progress in phase 1. A number of course routes will run in parallel offering different trade and skill options. Placement on courses will consider each applicants preference, prior experience and other indicators.

Duration:
1 Year Full-time August to December (Phase 1) January to June (Phase 2).

- Introductory Painting & Decorating skills and practice
- Introductory Carpentry & Joinery skills and practice
- Introductory Brickwork & Trowel skills and practice

Phase 2 (Intermediate 2)

- Practical Project (may include work experience)
- Introduction to the Construction Industry
