What will I need to follow the course?

* A minimum of 2 GCSE Grade A*-C
* Level 1 NVQ in Beauty Therapy
* Enthusiasm for working in the industry, to look presentable and be polite and courteous to people

Will I have to sit any examinations?
You will undertake written assessments and assignments. Your practical work will be assessed by the course tutor and you will be questioned on your understanding of the subjects you have studied. In addition you will need to keep all this evidence in a portfolio. An external examiner will inspect this evidence to ensure standards are met.

What will I have at the end of the course?
If you successfully complete all the subjects you will gain:

* NVQ Level 2 Certificate in Beauty Therapy.
* Key Skills Certificate.
* RIPHH (Health and Hygiene) Certificate.
* NVQ2 Customer Services units 201, 202 & 203.

What next?
You could register at another college in order to gain a Level 3 Certificate. Students who have completed this course have been successful in getting work in spas, beauty salons on cruise ships, etc.
