· Course Overview: · This course will be of interest to anyone intending to enter a career in Beauty Therapy. The course is made up of various mandatory units which are:- G1 - Ensure your own actions reduce risks to health and safety G6 - Promote additional products or services to clients. G8 - Develop and maintain your effectiveness at work. BT4 - Improve and maintain facial skin condition. BT5 - Provide eyelash and eyebrow treatments. BT6 - Remove hair using waxing techniques. BT7 - Provide manicure treatment. BT8 - Provide pedicure treatment. BT9 - Provide make up treatment. Work experience is an essential requirement. The course involves substantial class contact, which includes tutorial support, workshops, working with others, application of number, communications and information communication technology. Self study is essential to aid the learning process and you will be expected to undertake a minimum of four hours per week. This course will be of interest to anyone intending to enter a career in Beauty Therapy.

Entry Requirements: · Students must possess NVQ 1 Beauty Therapy or 4 GCSEs at grade D or above. Applicants will be interviewed and asked to complete short written and dexterity assessments. Applicants will be expected to find a work placement for one day a week and two separate block weeks during the course.
