Course Details

There are 2 routes to choose from: General Route (1): Head and Body Massage Epilation (Electrolysis) Body Treatments (Electrical) Facial Treatments (Electrical) Prepare and Maintain Artificial Nail Structures Massage Route (2) Head and Body Massage Indian Head Massage Aromatherapy Massage Electrical body/facial treatments (subject to updating). All students will participate in key skills/functional skills subject to previous qualifications in communication and application of number. Both routes (1) and (2): Health and Safety Promote products and services Contribute to the financial effectiveness of the business Related theories in science The programme will also include 1 week's block placement during the year Tasks and Portfolio Building External tests

Qualifications required:
Level 3 is specifically for those who have completed NVQ Level 2 in Beauty Therapy or equivalent. Students should be hard working, like to work in a team, have plenty of stamina and energy, and be prepared to work long hours including evenings and Saturdays. ESOL students must have ESOL Level 2, prior to application

Progression:
Employment as a beauty therapist. A range of specialist careers. Further study may include part-time higher-level management qualifications, progression to HNC/D Level in Beauty Therapy or Access courses in nursing.
