Course Description:

The course is full-time, running over two full academic years. You will work to set projects for each unit and be encouraged to develop a personal response to project briefs.
It is a very intensive, demanding and comprehensive programme of full-time study, designed for students who are dedicated, hardworking and ambitious. To be successful on this course, students need to be reliable and demonstrate excellent time-management skills.
Course content
This course offers the key technical and visual communication skills for both
academic and career routes in photography Areas covered, include:

· history of art and design
· location photography
· black and white printing
· image manipulation - traditional/ digital
· professional practice
· ideas and concepts.
Assessment:
Continuous assessment throughout the course, together with portfolio presentations,
critiques and a final major project.
Next steps:
Higher Education to study a Foundation Degree, HND or BA Honours Degree in Photography, ABC Foundation Diploma Art & Design or a related area. Alternatively, you may seek employment in the industry.
