If you don't currently meet the entry qualifications for Childcare training, these courses can provide a way in. The courses are specifically designed to enable young people to develop appropriate skills and qualities, academic ability and an understanding of workplace roles, responsibilities, routines and expectations. The course will include aspects of Working in Early Education and Childcare, Child Development, Child Health, Play, Care and Feeding of Children, Maintenance of a Safe Environment for Children, Parenting and First Aid.

Progression
Successful completion of the Intermediate 1 course may lead to the Intermediate 2 programme. Successful completion of the Intermediate 2 course may lead to the NC in Early Education and Childcare.
