Applicants will be invited to attend an interview and should be prepared to complete a work experience placement.
PROGRAMME CONTENT/STRUCTURE
This course is designed for students with moderate learning difficulties. It can help bridge the gap between education and employment. Students will be allocated a personal tutor who will advise and offer guidance. Emphasis will be placed on developing skills appropriate to the learning goals of each student. Competence in literacy and numeracy to meet the demands of everyday and work situations.

There will be a focus on employability. Team work and work experience is an essential part of this programme. Students will also work on developing their independence skills, self-confidence and skills to support them as individual adults.We expect students to be ready for part time work at the end of the course.

PROGRESSION/CAREERS OPPORTUNITIES
On successful completion of this course students can progress onto Entry Level 3 qualification in Skills for Working Life in a range of vocational options, NVQ level 1 qualifications or into employment.
