About this module

This module reviews and critiques the main sources of research within cognitive behavioural theory and practice in order to establish a firm basis from which you can develop your use of evidence and knowledge to inform practice in this and future modules.

Learning outcomes

On completion of this course you should be able to:
  • Critically analyse, explore and describe cognitive behaviour theories and research evidence
  • Produce a cogent conceptualisation of a common presenting difficulty
  • Demonstrate the ability to plan and deliver interventions that take into account personal strengths and background factors.
