Our Further Education and Skills Professional Certificate in Education (PCE) provides the essential skills for teaching and classroom management in further education. We offer a number of subject areas in which you can specialise. Placements form an integral part of this course so you will spend a number of days each week at your placement college, gaining a minimum of 100 hours' teaching experience.
On successful completion of this one-year course, you can gain Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) professional status from the Education and Training Foundation by submitting a portfolio of evidence.

You should have:Minimum of Level 2 in your chosen subject area vocational or professional qualificationPlus GCSE grade C/4 or above (or an equivalent qualification) in English. We accept equivalency tests from Equivalency Testing for Career Development, A Star Equivalency Testing and BCU.
