Level Five Applying for a full-time Foundation Degree at City College Plymouth through UCAS? Our UCAS institution code has changed - please use C83 for all courses, not our old code which was P60. If you've already started applying for a course with us under P60, please log in to your UCAS account and change the institution code before submitting your application.   Inspired by The International Game Developers Association Curriculum Framework, informed by student feedback and in response to industry requirements, this course offers a holistic approach to the design and production of electronic games.   The programme emulates the production and design process applied in the games industry whilst teaching the academic skills essential to success. In much the same way the industry requires collaborative working across specialist sectors, you will work with students from other disciplines, such as business and marketing, in order to promote their product in the marketplace. You'll also work with lecturers from different disciplines as well as industry professionals in order to forge links with those active in the growing indie developer sector.   This is an innovative programme that aims to embrace the language of electronic games as an evolving medium of increasing social and cultural significance. Applying academic theory to practical development, responding to market and working with fellow students in order to produce and design will be placed at the centre of the curriculum. At the end of this programme, students are expected to have designed and produced a game product for release into the marketplace.
