This course has been designed to help your child develop and design their own character or use the artwork supplied. The course will then teach them how to animate and finally bring their character to life in a simple side scrolling game

The Game Development course package will provide you with the skills required to bring your digital dreams to life. The courses will take you through 3 key sectors of games development namely: Character Design, Animation and Programming. For this phase you will be building a simple 2D games prototype for a hack and slash side scroller. This course really helps you to build the foundation needed to make your own computer game.

About this course

Aimed at 8 – 14 year olds, this course is great to take your child’s gaming interest and focus it on something more productive. Children are currently learning basic programming skills at primary school level now and Python programming is being taught during years 7 and 8 and forming a large part of the current GCSE for computing.
