Year 1

During the first year of the programme you will study fundamentals in computing and programming – whether games driven or not. You ll also code, design, develop, and look at other areas like graphics, animation, web design and more. Year one will give you a qualification, but the full level 3 extended diploma requires a second year of study.

Year 2

The topics studied in year one will be built upon and developed even further during year two of the programme, working on games that you can publish and some extended projects that bring in all aspects of your course for you to manage and show.

The units have different weightings and some elements are compulsory to study to meet BTEC requirements across all IT courses.
