The course is delivered on a one day a week (Friday) basis, over a ten week duration, its objective being to provide an individual with a foundation of knowledge and understanding that must be gained before entering the gas industry and ultimately Gas Safe Registration. Suitable for: CAT 2 & CAT 3 Individuals must have a Gas Safe registered engineer to work alongside,under direct supervision on a regular basis in order to build up and complete a portfolio of gas work bases evidence. Only on completion of the portfolio will the entrant be in a position to take the ACS exams and assessments. The gas porfolio is supplied as part of the course alongside guidance and advice on how to complete it.

ACS Gas Assessments: On completion of the portfolio of work based evidence the candidate will be in a position to book and undertake their ACS CCN1 CEN1 CPA1 assessments (3 days) Gas Safe Registration: On successful completion of the ACS assessments the candidate will be awarded their gas qualification which allows them to apply for Gas Safe registration.

Course review:

This course is aimed at new applicants into the gas industry, gas engineers who hold expired ACS or ACOPs certificates or gas engineers who hold a foreign gas qualification.

Applicants for this course (that are classed at CAT 2 or CAT 3) must be able to demonstrate that they have previous plumbing experience and/or formal qualifications in plumbing or a related industry.
