    A Level

Geography is the key to understanding places and people. It helps us to make sense of our own lives in global world and face vital issues like climate change, shrinking water supplies and food supplies, poverty and conflict. Geography is also a practical subject, teaching skills students need, such as mapwork, surveying the landscape, defining patterns, analysing data, understanding conflicting opinions, solving problems and critical thinking. An important part of Geographical learning is developed outdoors through several fieldwork days in Birmingham, Gower and Dorset. Geography is the ideal acedemic subject and combines easily with a variety of other subjects at A level but is often studied with Geology and World Development.
