This course reflects the relevance of law in our daily lives. It is up-to-date and includes the critical analysis of many topical issues, along with the opportunity to put theory into practice by suggesting outcomes to actual problem situations. Topical issues include the legal professions and the judiciary; the court system of Wales & England; tribunals and ADR; the role of the CPS; the use of juries; how the EU affects the Sovereignty of the UK Parliament; murder and manslaughter; assaults; police powers and sentencing options.

Many educational visits to places of interest in Law such as the local courts and The Old Bailey in London Guest speakers by local solicitors, magistrates and the CPS Attendance at A Level Law conferences at Swansea University
