Logical thought and understanding of concepts are involved in this course. The development of problem solving skills, powers of analysis and evaluation techniques prepares students for relevant areas of future study. Physics and scientific enquiry are used to solve problems and to stimulate an awareness of the social, technological, environmental and economic impact of physics in present-day society.

About this course

Normally, students progressing from school will require a minimum of six GCSEs at grades A* - C to enter the A level programme. It is highly recommended that students have GCSE mathematics at grade B and BB in additional or triple science. Entry for mature students without formal qualifications is at the discretion of the Curriculum Area.
