The course seeks to stimulate interest and enjoyment in the study of Chemistry and thereby provide an understanding of how the subject relates to many aspects of everyday life.

The subject content of the syllabus has been divided into the following THEMES:-

· Explanations of the properties of materials ) CORE

· Mineral Chemistry ) ADDITIONAL
· Organic Chemistry ) CONTENT
Assessment procedure:
Assessment takes the form of TWO written papers AND a coursework component. The assessment pattern for the written papers in arranged in two tiers:-
