This qualification is for those pursuing maths/science courses or careers. There is a focus on using algebra skills effectively but the course includes number, data handling and geometry skills too.
It is a one year intensive course preparing learners for the summer examinations. There are two papers set by the WJEC exam board. Most students sit the intermediate level (B to E grades). Those interested in studying at the higher level (A* to C grades) should discuss this with the lecturer at the start of the course.
There are regular assessments and mock exams to monitor your progress.
