GCSE Plus Keyfacts
Full time, 30 weeks (minimum of 16 hours per week). level two course. Lessons are usually timetabled into three or four days a week to accommodate private study at home and work placements.

Those who leave the course with five C grades at GCSE can progress to level 3 courses such as National Diplomas, A Levels and NVQ's. Those who leave with a minimum if two D's could progress to a Level 2 program such as First Diplomas. Other courses are available with a variety of entrance grades.

Entry Requirements
  • School leavers would normally be expected to have achieved a D grade at a previous examination for English and maths. Proof of all qualifications is required.
  • All students (especially those not coming straight from school), should attend a careers interview as part of this program's enrolment. This is an intensive and very academic course aimed at increasing grades or obtaining grades for youngsters with no qualifications
  • The College welcomes applicants over 21 years of age, each application is considered on individual merit and formal qualifications may not be required dependant upon experience

What you will need to do this course
It will be necessary to purchase text books for individual subjects, tutors will recommend these at the start of the course. They can usually be purchased in the bookshop on campus
